Frequently asked questions.

How should I dress for my appointment?

Stretchy, loose-fitting clothing is best for chiropractic appointments. Be sure to wear clothing that allows easy access to the area you’ll be having examined during your visit. For example, if you’re coming in to have a knee injury looked at, be sure to wear loose-fitting pants that can easily be rolled up past the knee.

Does Restore Health & Sport treat children and infants?

Yes! Our services are safe for all ages, and treatments can be modified to suit the needs of your child’s specific issues.

Can pregnant women be treated?

Absolutely! All of our practitioners are fully trained in prenatal and post-natal care. We can modify your chiropractic adjustments to suit your comfort level. We’ll provide a full assessment to ensure your lower back, hips, and pelvis can accommodate your ever-changing body and impending birth.

How long will my first appointment be?

Chiropractic: A typical first chiropractic appointment at Restore Health & Sport is an hour long. Some appointments might be shorter than this, depending on the areas you’re having assessed and your own unique needs.

Massage: For your initial massage appointment, we book 1-hour appointments. This is to ensure the massage therapist has time to do a brief health assessment to assess your specific needs before your massage.

Does every chiropractic appointment include an adjustment?

Not always! Our chiropractors treat a variety of neuromusculoskeletal conditions, ranging from low back pain to tennis elbow, and many areas of the body that we treat do not require a full adjustment.

No matter what area of the body we are treating, you are in control. There is never any pressure to get an adjustment if you’re not comfortable with it, and your chiropractor will explain your treatment options, including some alternatives to traditional adjustments. At Restore Health & Sport, we customize your treatments to your individual needs and comfort level.

Do you offer services for motor vehicle accidents?

Yes, we treat motor vehicle claims. Our chiropractors will complete the initial intake assessment and any required paperwork related to your situation. Our chiropractors can refer you to other team members or care professionals, like your family doctor, based on your exam findings.

Will insurance cover my visit if I don’t have a referral from my doctor?

Yes! Chiropractors are doctors, and no referral from another doctor is required to have your visit covered by insurance. Be sure to check with your insurance provider for any specific details related to your coverage.

Massage may require a referral from your doctor, but this depends on your plan. Please reach out to your insurance provider for more details.

Do you offer direct billing to most insurance plans?

Yes! We will direct-bill whenever possible.

What is your cancellation policy?

Missed appointments will be charged 50% of the treatment rate. Multiple missed appointments will require a credit card on file to book, and the full rate will be charged at the time of booking.
